Bernas Park, Westmont, IL

A 5-acre park development in Westmont, IL, Bernas Park was completed in August of 2018 for the Westmont Park District.  Alpine Ridge Builders provided complete General Contracting, Project Management and partial Design-Build services in close coordination with the Park District to provide for the Village a unique and community friendly park facility.  Improvements included a permeable paver parking lot (allowing rain water to filter back down into the ground), a custom playground, restroom facility, rentable public pavilion, a bike path encircling the existing wetland area and an elevated boardwalk through it, a sled hill for use in the winter months and the Village's very first fishing pier!  The pier has been so popular that additional fishing platforms were installed following initial completion of the improvements.
